Vets:

Barry Hargreaves

An honours graduate of Liverpool University Vet School, Barry graduated in 1973. He spent the first five years in mixed practice where he developed his interest in small animal work.
He came to Manchester in 1978 to join Roy White in the practice, which had been started in 1948 by the late Dougie Leask.
Barry is married to Annette who has a clerical role in the practice and has two grown-up children, Emily and Thomas, a whippet called Bridie and a lurcher called Maisie.
Outside the practice Barry is a keen road and mountain biker, has completed 10 Polaris endurance marathons, completed the English coast to coast, the mountain bike tour of Mont Blanc and in July 2004 climbed the famous Alpine climb of Alpe D' Huez.

Phillip Relph

Phillip studied Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at the Dick Vet in Edinburgh and graduated in 1978.
Before joining The Boundary Vet Clinic in 1990, Phillip worked at various mixed practices throughout the UK, including Zoo work and looking after the welfare of the Blackpool donkeys.
Phillip has a daughter Megan, a Labrador called Missy, cats and a rabbit.
In his spare time, Phillip is a keen runner and hill walker. He has run 13 marathons, climbed every English mountain and walked most of the long distance paths in the UK.

Nurses:

Denise McCann

Denise joined the Clinic from another South Manchester Practice in 1997.
She is married to Steve and has two grown-up children, Kayleigh and Ross.
Denise has a Rottweiler called Shadow, marmoset called Rico, several parrots, rabbits and a budgerigar.
She is a real keep fit enthusiast and has recently qualified as a personal trainer.

Katie Vernon

Katie joined in September 2004 after completing a BTEC diploma in Animal Care in July 2004.
Katie has 2 dogs called Candy and Molly, 2 cats called Jasper and Marcus and a cockatiel called Cyril.
Most of Katie's spare time is spent working with Horses.

Amy Thornley

Hi my name is Amy Thornley. After completing my ‘A’ Levels at Hyde Claredon College I started work in a boarding kennels then moved on to Boundary Veterinary Clinic.
My hobbies include playing the guitar & running. I am the proud owner of a Guinea Pig called Doris & 2 Gerbils named Jack & Daniel.
